KAIST’s AIM lab has been working on its own set of humanoid robots aside from HUBO and the HanSaRam robots developed by other KAIST labs.

RobotBaka built this hybrid humanoid-motorbike robot named Accel in 2007.

USC’s Interaction Lab, led by Dr. Maja Mataric, is developed socially assistive robots to assist in a variety of areas where humans can’t do all the work.

The first iteration in KAIST’s Korean Humanoid Robot was the KHR-1, developed between 2000 and 2002.

Georgia Tech’s Socially Intelligent Machines Lab created Simon, a humanoid robot, to study human-robot interaction and learning.
