Remember those ski-less skis we looked at a few weeks ago?  Well, they’ve finally been caught on video.  Dr. Toshinobu Takei of Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) demonstrates his “Unit-type Micro-Mobility” device at the 2009 International Robot Exhibition in Tokyo Nov. 25. The prototype robot skates move automatically when the user leans forward. Top speed: 4 km/h.
