TUM Munich’s Housekeeping Humanoid
TUM Munich’s Intelligent Autonomous Systems lab has a humanoid robot in the early stages of development. The robot is equipped with a pair of Kuka LWR-4 7 DOF arms and two DLR-HIT hands, and has a stereo camera rig in its head along with a host of laser range finders. In the following video, watch as the robot locates, picks up, and places objects in its surroundings. It looks a bit like a DIY Willow Garage PR2. The lab is researching a variety of topics relating to personal robotics, and has also acquired an iCub robot.
Thanks, Travis!
