Dr. Dennis Hong’s TED Talk

Dr. Dennis Hong was recently named one of “the top 10 young geniuses shaking up science” by Popular Mechanics, and it’s not hard to see why.  You’ve probably seen some of his research projects, such as this clip of STriDER from the Discovery Channel, but did you catch him at TEDxNASA from December 2009?  In this whirlwind 18 minute presentation he gives an overview of the many projects at Virginia Tech’s Robotics & Mechanisms Laboratory (RoMeLa).  Of course my favorites happen to be the humanoids, one of which looks like it will serve up some serious competition at RoboCup later this year.  Enjoy:
