In related news, Toyota’s Violin-Playing Robot is set to perform as part of the Japanese pavilion during the upcoming Shanghai World Expo. The Japanese pavilion, said to be the largest foreign pavilion at the expo, will feature a 152 inch (3.86 meter) plasma display from Panasonic, as well as Canon’s “Wonder Camera”. The camera has image processing software that can detect smiling faces within your video footage and extracts just those frames as still photographs. The environment is also being given special importance, with a conceptual “Zero-Emission Town” and architecturally integrated solar panels playing a major part in its technological showcase.
