ASIMO is beginning a tour of Japanese elementary schools as part of Honda’s corporate social responsibility program. The primary goal of the campaign is to educate children about the amount of waste produced annually and the difficulties involved in purifying contaminated water. ASIMO gave interactive quizzes about climate change, with bonus prizes for kids who answered correctly. In addition, ASIMO’s smooth movements were demonstrated as usual. A total of eight schools will be paid a special visit by Honda’s humanoid. Lucky kids – I’d much prefer to see ASIMO than Al Gore! A few more photos follow after the break.
