Simon at the Computer Human Interaction Conference

Georgia Tech’s humanoid robot Simon made an appearance at the Computer Human Interaction Conference, where it displayed its machine learning capabilities.  The robot was taught by a human instructor to sort different objects by color – which required it to pick up the items and drop them into one of the colored bins.  Unfortunately Simon hasn’t been given his eyebrows and lips, which were present in his original concept, and would make him a little bit more expressive.
