Female Robot AILA Stars In New Video

Last time we got a look at AILA was in a somewhat grainy capture from the Hannover Messe show floor back in April.  Now DFKI (German Research Center of Artificial Intelligence) has uploaded a much cleaner video showing their distinctly female robot autonomously parking near a shelf and grasping products.  AILA uses stereoscopic vision and RFID to identify objects  and estimate their pose so that it knows how they should be handled.  The product RFID can also tell AILA its individual delivery destination.  Their website has also updated with a few new glamor shots of the curvaceous ‘bot.
