Remember Sakakibara Kikai, that Japanese company that made the Kid’s Walker? It’s a 1.6m (5’2″), 340kg (750 lbs) mecha that sort of shuffle-walks and can lift its arms. Apparently they’ve now sold 8 units (at $21,000 USD a pop) after it became a viral hit online late last year. The company is already hard at work on a new boxing robot that throws punches like a heavyweight. The 27-year old designer says he’s filled with a burning passion to create a wide variety of robots.
